Scrappolis has a Card Challenge for You!

Our friends at Scrappolis have a card challenge for us so come and check out the inspiration from their very talented design team here.

I'm a guest designer this month at Scrappolis, and I'd like to inspire you to take the sketch and see what you come up with too.  Here's my take on the sketch and some of the supplies I used to create the card:

The twine heart was created using twine as shown in the picture above and some Stiffy fabric stiffener that is used on ribbons or fabric to create shapes.  You simply apply the Stiffy product to the twine and wrap it around a heart cookie cutter; attach a clip to the ends of the twine and affix to the cookie cutter to keep the ends in place; also apply some quick setting glue to add additional support, and set aside to dry thoroughly.  I wrapped some text paper with glue around some of the twine too.

Here's the sketch to inspire you to create, and share your take with us.  I flipped the sketch on my take.  You can enter the Scrappolis challenge here:

Some close-ups for you:

If you want your application of micro beads to look luxurious, use some glass bead gel with your micro beads. See photo above of those very tiny, tiny beads next to the regular micro beads. The glass gel beads dry clear and are very versatile.

  2. Gorgeous card. I'm not big on coral/orange, but your take on it makes it fabulous. Thanks for sharing.
