Hello everyone, If you like modern graphic designs, you're sure to enjoy working with this sketch from Keeping The Best! You have two weeks until the challenge closes to win an opportunity to be a guest designer or a be featured on the site. The sketch is perfect for finding a use of the small scraps of papers we collect and put in our stash for future use. These verticle strips of paper were created with the Authentique Collection: Peaceful. I used the canvas tutorial technique I posted earlier this month on the verticle strips of paper. The two (2) Regal Ornaments chipboards are from Blue Fern Studios, and I will be posting a tutorial on the technique used on these chipboard medallions on April 27 at Blue Fern Studios.

ReplyDeleteA really pretty page and I love the idea of using some scraps too. Can't wait for the tutorial Joyce, they look amazing.
ReplyDeletejust love your work! this is another beauty! hugs, Ingrid xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting sketch...your take on it is fabulous...I just love the background work, so artistic and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI've printed off said sketch ... your take looks absolutely brilliant Joyce ... I keep looking at it and seeing something else every time I look from splatters to what looks like modelling/texture paste, so did you splatter or blow on a straw ... I did play with the previous sketch too by the way, just didn't work out the uploading time right ... oops ...
ReplyDeleteThank you Michelle. I applied the wet tea bag technique to achieve those splatters. Simply moisten a tea bag, dip it in a little pool of color mist (I normally add some water to the mist too) and throw down the tea bag on your page. Hope you give it a try.
DeleteLove it Joyce! Those medallions are pure gorgeousness!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great page, all the blue tones look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThe chipboard looks awesome I shall have to come back to find out in the turorial what you did to them.
