I was so fortunate to grab one of the last two remaining April kits at C'est Magnifique this month. The Scrap Cake papers, flowers, chipboard pieces and resin piecs from
the April Kit are just fabulous. And to
have another opportunity to scrap one of Nadia’s sketches is always a treat for
me. I changed my mind several times in deciding
which background paper to use on this layout, and in the end, I chose to use a
white textured cardstock to show case the old photos of my cousin and I at age
6 at one of our Easter family events. My
aunt found these pictures of the two us, and I was so very grateful to her for
sharing them with me.
Like so many others, I so enjoy transforming a piece of
cardboard into something pretty to look at.
Here’s a close up of the Dusty Attic piece that was a part of the kit.
wow what a great and gorgeous page, love the details and embellies :)
ReplyDeletetotally adorable!!! love what you did with the chippies! xxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful details Joyce. I really love the lace that you used and the lovely house and butterfly. Of course your DA is stunning as always!!
ReplyDeleteJoyce this page is so deliciously decadent, I just love all the yummy colors and details. Everywhere you look there are gorgeous things to look at. Love the circle cutouts and stitching. You really can work white cardstock into something fabulous. Neat photos, too. Look at that tiny Easter basket the bunny left for you, it's totally cute, but whatever could he fit into that?
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable Joyce, love the black and white pics with these papers, the way you've distressed the outers of the circles and the misting on the lace looks beautiful, not to mention those little stitches, and you used only the kit. Awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my oh my how pretty this is!! I'm a sucker for old photos, just can't help loving them and you have captured such a precious trip down memory lane on your page. Love the misted lace, the tiny random stitches, the soft misting/masking, the glorious chippie treatment. This truly is beautiful Joyce! xoxox
